This summer has been a hot one, switching back and forth between warm days and raining skies. In the midst of busy days, I am letting you into all that I am enjoying.

The Whittard Covent Garden tea may be my current favorite! I can’t explain it, but it’s a delightful fruity black tea that’s perfect with brown sugar and half and half. I love when I can sip and savor it.
I recently purchased two duvet covers from Piglet in Bed. They are quite pricey, but Piglet in Bed does run sales quite frequently. I got the Cream Sprig duvet and the Warm Blue Gingham linen duvet. The cream duvet is definitely cozy and soft, and more on the yellow side. It is cotton percale, which makes it feel like it’s a hotel bed. Though I love the blue gingham, it definitely is not the softest at first because of the linen. I’m excited to feel it after a few months and washes down the line.

Early summer mornings have been wonderful! Though I do believe winter sunrises are perfect, I love waking up early and already seeing that the sun is up. It’s easier to have a quiet time or go on a walk or read when it’s light outside.
Tuna sandwiches. Absolutely yummy and easy for work from home lunches. I usually add a bunch of spices (dill, garlic, salt, pepper, mayo), but I always want new ways of making it fancy. If you have a recipe, share with me!
Cherry pepsi and I are in for a long ride with one another. I, for one, love carbonation (does it love me? Probably not). Cherry pepsi is not the same as Dr. Pepper or the cherry cola Poppi. They do taste different. I recommend adding some squeezed lime to your cherry pepsi and you are in for a treat.
Queen Bee Farm’s customer service has been delightful. They are a Canadian company that sells tea and honey. They have sent me handwritten notes thanking me for ordering and even put an extra tea bag in my order for no additional cost. Highly recommend trying them out if you are interested.

At the moment, I crave cozy TV these days. Though I love a bit of drama (Grey’s Anatomy and Blue Lights), I love cozy TV shows – Cranford, Death in Paradise, Hope Street, Return to Paradise, Professor T. The shows are humorous and enjoyable to watch, without being overly dramatic. When work is stressful, a show is a lovely way to unwind without a great amount of investment. A show that I do enjoy that doesn’t fit is Northern Exposure. It’s a bit philosophical and weird/supernnatural and it’s just about a small town in Alaska. Highly tempted to see the Cascade Mountains now!
Beautiful Anonymous, the podcast I have most recommended in my life, is doing a series on a wild call with a woman who turned herself in to prison. I remember listening to this episode while traveling. Listen if you’re interested.
Don’t forget to share your glimmers from this summer below!
Signing off,
Gigi
There’s something so cheerful and innocent about blue gingham. 😊
Tuna sandwich: Toast the bread. Spread with cream cheese, then tuna mixed with mayo. Slide a fried egg onto the tuna (degree of doneness to taste). Top with the second slice of toast. Somehow it’s even better if you slice it diagonally.

I will have to try your tuna sandwich. The cream cheese addition is new to me.

The rain is just now starting to come down here and there, after a summer of drought for me.
I need to look into high quality tea! I have only used grocery store brand tea bags.

I highly recommend loose leaf if you want higher quality tea. Harney and Sons has a wonderful collection!
The rain has also decided to hit NYC at once.
